Living with a terminal or life limiting illness comes with its many challenges for both the patient and their family. Our team are fully trained to offer what we believe is an essential part of a patients care plan to help them and those around them to cope both physically and emotionally.
Complementary Therapy is a powerful source of comfort in a time when a person is most vulnerable.
We are privileged to have the support of local health care Professionals including Montgomery Surgery, Bicester Health Centre, Bicester Hospital, Sobell House Hospice and many more.
I would like to say a huge Thank you to all those that sponsored a ‘kitbag’ including Nolan Oils, Bicester Round Table, 41 Club, Bicester Rugby Club, Bicester Barbers and Sadler Talbot, with your generosity we are now able to help many local people who are unable to reach our drop in therapy days.
Greenfields home visit service was launched in June 2016 for those people who are unable to make our drop-in sessions. With the support of local GP’s and health care professionals we are able to deliver a valuable yet unique service.
Our therapists are all professional, fully qualified and insured. They are chosen for their compassionate and friendly nature. They are available to come to your home and provide complementary therapy treatments suitable for your needs.
Massage– Therapeutic massage focuses on the area of your body that you feel will most benefit. This treatment provides calm and relaxation, improves stress, anxiety and can help relieve pain or discomfort. Lymphatic Drainage Massage techniques (MLD) can help eliminate water retention from the body.
Reiki– A gentle, yet powerful form of healing and the benefits are felt on all levels. Reiki helps your body to reach an inner state of harmony; physically, mentally and spiritually.
Reflexology– Using therapeutic pressure techniques to the reflex points on your feet. Encourages the stimulation of your body’s system to begin to heal and balance its energy levels to improve circulation, reduce stress, pain and anxiety. Reflexology is an ideal treatment if a patient is mostly in bed.
Hand & Nail Care – This treatment includes nail cutting, filing and shaping; your cuticles will be nourished and groomed. Cleansing exfoliation and a soothing massage to help hydration with an optional nail paint to finish.
Acupuncture– Through 350 acupuncture points in the body, these meridians and energy flows may be accessed. Illness is said to be the consequence of an imbalance of the forces. If needles are inserted into these points with appropriate combinations it is said that the energy flow can be brought back into proper balance.
Rehabilitation exercise– Our personal trainer specialises in rehabilitation, metabolic issues, muscular-skeletal problems, optimal performance and stress reduction.
He works well with older, less able clients and those who wish to maintain strength and mobility.
Benefits of Complementary Therapy
Complementary Therapy is not considered to be a cure, nor is it considered to be a replacement for medical advice or conventional treatment methods. Complementary therapy is used alongside your conventional treatment. It can:
- Help you to cope with symptoms and side-effects of medication and illness.
- Improves emotional well-being
- Offers a short-term escape
- Aids relaxation
- Improves sleep quality
- Eases aches and pain
- Offers support and someone to talk to
- Boosts immune system
- Improves circulation and reduces swelling (Oedema)
Those accessing Complementary Therapy treatments very often comment that they find them very relaxing, enjoyable and beneficial. They feel that the sessions offer support to help them to cope with what is happening in their life, leave them feeling more in control, less tense and often able to sleep better.
All our fees that we do charge are greatly discounted with any residuals being channelled back into Greenfields.

The therapist who treats you will be fully aware of your needs and will adapt and select the right treatment accordingly
After each treatment we will offer you aftercare advice and breathing and relaxation tools and techniques to help continue the benefits of your treatment.
Please note: Our therapists will always arrive wearing grey Greenfields uniform and a name badge. Asked to be referred by your GP or contact us direct.
